1. Three Sisters by Anton Chekov
December 1-6th, Bryggergården

Graduating students from Copenhagen International School of Performing Arts (CISPA) present one of Chekov’s most famous plays the Three Sisters, in a unique historic location in Kastrup. Book tickets via at cispa.dk.


2. Winter Bathing and Viking Festival
December 6th, Kulturhuset Islands Brygge

Feeling brave? Why not head down to the harbour at Islands Brygge! Winter bathing is open for Christmas so take a dip and then warm up with a sauna, warm drinks, a fire and viking games! Brrrrrrr!


3. Quentin Tarantino at Cinemateket
December 8th – January 23rd, Cinemateket

Cinemateket presents a whole month and more of Quentin Tarantino’s best known films. Over December and January you can see all the greats from Kill Bill to Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown – the list goes on! Perfect for some Christmas down time or to beat the January blues!


4. ØsterGRO Christmas Market
December 12-13th, Æbeløgade


On a rooftop in the heart of Copenhagen, lies an urban farm and restaurant, and this Christmas they will be hosting a unique Christmas market. Here you will find delicious local vegetables, homemade apple juice, snapps, natural products, Christmas trees, as well as mulled wine, fires, æbleskiver – could it get any more hyggeligt?!


5. Winter Solstice Party
December 18th, Danish Architecture Centre

Winter Solstice

On the darkest day of the year, Copenhagen will light up the harbour with light, music and art installations. Come celebrate the start of longer days in a beautiful harbourside setting. The Danish Architecture Centre will be open with free access to all exhibitions.
