About Next Day

In CAMPO’s Next day, director Philippe Quesne will catapult us into another world, where ordinary everyday actions take place as extreme situations. Twelve kids, between10 – 13 years old, are the object of a human microcosm with uncertain boundaries, mixing dream and reality, music and languages, loneliness and the group. Twelve small individuals all to a certain degree dancers, artists and musicians, form a bizarre community. Are they abandoned and lost?

Today they are innocent and carefree, but who will they become in the society we are preparing them for? Alternatively, as they themselves propose, we can consider them as trainee-superheroes gathered in an institute to save the world.

About the performances:

The Martyr Museum

The first martyr museum in the North will now be inaugurated in a former slaughtering hall in Copenhagen’s Meatpacking District. The exhibition will explore why some people will die for what they believe in. Our fascination with heroic people is not a new phenomenon. We continue to wonder about the motives that drive people to martyrdom. Do the martyrs of today differentiate from past martyrs, and what does it mean to die for your beliefs?

Experience the exhibition for free on your own or bring alive the stories of martyrs from the past, present and future with a guided tour led by our professional guides.

M.I.S. All Night Long

DON GNU’s last show of the trilogy, which deals with the modern man’s identity.

A show that starts where western movies finish, with the lonely man riding into the night. An an attempt to turn on the light, where the sun has gone down.

What happens when night falls, the film is long over and the credits leave a black screen behind?

DONGNU is back in wool socks and sandals, along with a 105 kg Lithuanian HAMMER THROWER and one combative Korean to understand the man’s back.

Selected as a highlight by the CPH STAGE programme committee.

About Post No Bills

”The unique dancer Kitt Johnson performs a solo which looks at man’s existence in times of crisis. A raw space provides the backdrop for this dark story, while Johnson’s tiny body and its simple movements take the observer by storm.”
Selected as a highlight by the CPH STAGE programme committee.

Choreographer and dancer Kitt Johnson has created yet another challenging, thought-provoking solo performance.

POST NO BILLS is a radical call to view crisis as a creative power of transformation; as an opportunity to constructively rethink our existence. In the words of the choreographer, it is “a performance that edges its way in where composure is irrevocably lost and the new and unknown barely glimpsed. Right there, we meet the broken and disillusioned human with empty hands. Sent back to square one and free to re-invent the beginning.”

POST NO BILLS has been described as ’a masterpiece within the crisis art of recent years’ (Politiken) and already brought Kitt Johnson several awards.
